There are a total of 80 quota places (20 per competition) for the skateboard competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Each nation can provide a maximum of 3 athletes per competition. The distribution of the quota places takes place within the framework of the World Championship 2019/20, here the three best athletes of each discipline receive a quota place. In addition, the Japanese delegation is entitled to a starting place as a host in every competition. The remaining 16 quota places should be allocated according to the world rankings as of June 1, 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the qualification period has been extended.
