African / European qualifying tournament

The quota place for Africa and Europe was awarded at a qualification tournament, which was held in Utrecht from 23 to 27 September 2019. The six best teams from the 2019 European Championship and the two best teams from the 2019 Africa Cup took part in this tournament. The tournament was a round-robin tournament in which the Italian national softball team qualified as winners for the Olympic Games. The following nations took part in this tournament:
