Olympic Winter Games 1924 / Participant (Belgium)

Belgium took part in the 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix with a delegation of 18 athletes in 4 sports. The Belgian NOK had registered 31 athletes for the games, of which 18 took part in competitions. Four athletes started in different sports (see list of participants).

Attendees

The figure skaters Georgette Herbos and Georges Wagemans were the oldest participants in Belgium at the age of 40 and 43 and at the same time they were hoping for a medal in pair skating . In the end, they only finished fifth. But the bronze medal for five-man bobsleigh I (pilot Charles Mulder ) was all the more surprising. The ice hockey team stayed within expectations and was eliminated in the preliminary round. The speed skaters also only placed themselves in the back of the field.
