France participated in the VI. 1952 Winter Olympics in the Norwegian capital Oslo with a delegation of 26 athletes in five disciplines, including 20 men and 6 women. The figure skater Jacqueline du Bief won the only bronze medal in France at these games.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the figure skater Alain Giletti .
