The United States participated in the VI. 1952 Winter Olympics in the Norwegian capital Oslo with a delegation of 66 athletes in all eight disciplines, including 56 men and 10 women. With four gold, six silver and one bronze medal, the United States was the second best nation in these games.
The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was bobsleigh driver James Bickford .
