Flag bearer
The alpine skier Andreas Wenzel , who had already won a medal in the giant slalom at the 1980 and 1984 Winter Olympics , wore the flag of Liechtenstein during the opening ceremony in the McMahon Stadium .

The only medal won by Paul Frommelt , for whom it was already the fourth participation in the Olympics.
