The OSC Potsdam , full name: Olympischer Sportclub Potsdam Luftschiffhafen eV , is a sports club in the capital of Brandenburg Potsdam with the address Am Luftschiffhafen 2 in the sports park on the Templiner See .
The OSC Potsdam was founded on September 27, 1990. It is the successor to ASK Vorwärts Potsdam , which was founded on October 1, 1956 and which was dissolved after reunification in 1990.
The club has departments for modern pentathlon , water polo , swimming (Potsdamer SV), canoe racing, triathlon , fencing and cycling . Recreational and popular sports as well as competitive sports are practiced in the club. Before the final round of the 2009/10 season in the German Water Polo League, the men's water polo team took tenth place (out of 18). Jaana Ehmcke and the former Darmstadt-based Yannick Lebherz train under the swimming coach Jörg Hoffmann . Renowned canoeists under coach Jürgen Eschert are Tim Wieskötter and Sebastian Brendel .
