Omar El Kaddouri ( Arabic عمر القادوري; * August 21, 1990 in Brussels , Belgium ) is a Moroccan - Belgian soccer player . The attacking midfielder is under contract with PAOK Thessaloniki and is a Moroccan international .
Career
societies
El Kaddouri began his career at Koninklijke Diegem Sport and in 2006 joined the youth team at RSC Anderlecht . There he was a member of the professional squad in the 2007/08 season , but was not used. In 2008 he moved to the Italian second division side Brescia Calcio , for which he was used for the first time in Serie B on March 29, 2009 in a 2-2 draw against AS Livorno . The 2010/11 season he played on loan at FC Südtirol , for which he played 31 games (two goals) in the third-class Lega Pro Prima Divisione .
After his return to Brescia, El Kaddouri matured into a regular player in the 2011/12 season and came to 38 league games in which he scored seven goals. In July 2012 he moved to the first division club SSC Napoli , where he made seven league appearances and four appearances in the Europa League in his first season . For the 2013/14 season he was awarded for two years to the league rivals FC Turin , with whom he also played in the Europa League in 2013/14 . In July 2015, El Kaddouri returned to Naples.
At the end of January 2017, El Kaddouri moved to league rivals FC Empoli . He has been playing at PAOK Thessaloniki since the 2017/18 season . In his first two seasons he won the trophy with the club and the championship in the 2018/19 season.
National team
El Kaddouri played twice for the Belgian U21 national team in November 2011 .
As El Kaddouri is a dual citizen, a change of association was possible and he was able to take part in the Olympic Games in London with the Moroccan U23 national team in the summer of 2012 . There he was used twice in the group stage , which he finished with the team in third place. On August 14, 2013, he made his debut in the 1: 2 defeat in the friendly against Burkina Faso in the Moroccan national team . El Kaddouri scored his first goal on May 23, 2014 in a 4-0 win over Mozambique .
