The house Pölkenstrasse 44, 45 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the historic Quedlinburg Neustadt on the east side of Pölkenstrasse and is listed as a residential building in the Quedlinburg Monument Register. The house Pölkenstrasse 43 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the north and Pölkenstrasse 46 to the south .

Architecture and history

The three-storey half - timbered house shows decorations on the half-timbered facade that were typical for the period around 1680. The half-timbered figure of the half man and ankle bracelets can be found on the second floor . According to a building inscription, the building was built in 1711. The front door was renewed around 1820 and around 1900. House number 45 was heavily rebuilt in the 19th century and its appearance changed. A shop in the style of classicism was added later .

At the beginning of the 21st century the house was renovated. The changed appearance of house number 45 was brought back into line with that of the northern half of the house.
