The men's 400 meter hurdles at the 2011 Pan American Games took place on October 26th and 27th, 2011 at the Telmex Athletics Stadium in Guadalajara .

19 athletes from 15 countries took part in the competition. The gold medal was won by Omar Cisneros after 47.99 s, which was also a new record for the Pan American Games. Silver went to Isa Phillips with 47.82 s and Félix Sánchez secured the bronze medal with 48.85 s.
