Paul Fuß (1911)

August Paul Foot (* 29. June 1844 in Poznan , † 7. January 1915 in Charlottenburg ) was 1888-1912 Mayor of the city of Kiel and member of the Prussian manor .

During his tenure, the Kaiser Wilhelm Canal was opened in 1895, which he attended. In 1909, Fuß inaugurated the soup kitchen in Boninstrasse and in 1910 the Hummelwiesenbrücke, now the Gablenzbrücke, which has been under construction since 1906. In 1912, Paul Fuß wanted to introduce three-class suffrage in Kiel, which city councilor Wilhelm Brecour prevented. A street that runs between the Ravensberg and Wik districts was named after Paul Fuß .

Paul Fuß died in Charlottenburg in 1915 at the age of 70 and was buried in the Old St. Matthew Cemetery in Schöneberg . The grave has not been preserved.
