Pauley Perrette
Pauley Perrette (born March 27, 1969 in New Orleans , Louisiana ) is a former American actress and singer .
Life
Pauley Perrette was born in New Orleans and spent much of her childhood in the southern states, but her family moved frequently. She has a sister.
After graduating from high school, Perrette studied sociology and psychology in Atlanta and began her Masters in criminology . While still a student, she moved to New York , where she was able to stay afloat with waiters. By accident, she started making money from small appearances in commercials and music videos. As a result, Pauley Perrette received roles in various series and films. The best known role is that of Abigail "Abby" Sciuto , one of the leading roles in the series Navy CIS . In early October 2017, Perrette announced her departure from the series after the 15th season.
Pauley Perrette is not only an actress, but also a producer. She made the film The American Shame . She is a poet, a spoken word artist and has published several works. Pauley Perrette sang in the independent rock girl band "Lo-Ball", but the band broke up in 2003. She is currently singing in the band “Stop Making Friends”, of which music can also be heard on the official soundtrack for Navy CIS.
Private
She married Coyote Shivers on October 20, 2000 and divorced on February 1, 2006. Perrette was a good friend of rock singer and bassist in the band Betty Blowtorch Bianca Halstead , who died in a car accident in 2001. A year later, Pauley Perrette's mother died of breast cancer, and shortly thereafter her boyfriend Glenn Quinn of a heroin overdose.
Pauley Perrette married cameraman Michael Bosman on February 14, 2009, but the marriage was not legally valid. Since 2011 she has been engaged to Thomas Arklie, a former member of the British Royal Marines and actor. The two separated before Christmas 2016.
Perrette is committed to the rights of homosexuals. She intended u. a. to marry only when this is also possible for same-sex couples.
On July 7, 2020, Perette announced via Twitter that she would end her acting career. She actually wanted to do that after leaving Navy CIS , for the new series Broke , which was canceled after its first season, but she stepped in front of the cameras one last time and enjoyed it.
