Peter Dickinson (writer)
Peter Malcolm de Brissac Dickinson OBE FRSL (born December 16, 1927 in Livingstone , Northern Rhodesia , † December 16, 2015 in Winchester ) was a British writer .
Life
The author was born in the British Protectorate of Northern Rhodesia in 1927, grew up in England and attended university in Cambridge .
For 17 years he worked for the magazine " Punch ". He has also written numerous books that have received prestigious awards. He received the CWA Gold Dagger twice (1968 and 1969) and the Carnegie Medal (1979 and 1980); He also received the Phoenix Award (2001), the Grand prix de littérature policière (2002) and the Pied Piper Literature Prize (2004). In addition to novels, Dickinson also wrote poetry.
Dickinson lived in southern England with his second wife. He had four children and six grandchildren. He died in December 2015 on his 88th birthday.
