Peter Jacob Johannssen (also: Peter Johannssen or Johannßen ; born April 20, 1858 in Trennewurtheraltendeich ; † May 10, 1941 in Braunschweig ) was a German agricultural scientist , teacher at various agricultural schools, general secretary of the Royal Agricultural Society in Hanover , director of the Hanover Chamber of Agriculture as well State Economic Council .

Life

Peter Jacob Johannssen worked in Herford , Halle and Kiel and as a teacher at the agricultural schools in Annaberg , Chemnitz and Hildesheim .

From 1889 to 1899 Johannssen held the position of secretary or general secretary of the Royal Agricultural Society of Hanover , from 1899 to 1924 as director of the Hanover Chamber of Agriculture.
