Peter MacArthur (born June 20, 1985 in Clifton Park , New York ) is an American ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Graz 99ers in the Austrian ice hockey league .
Career
Peter MacArthur began his career as a hockey player with the Waterloo Black Hawks, for which he was active in the junior league United States Hockey League in the 2003/04 season and with whom he won the Clark Cup , the playoff championship of the USHL. He then attended Boston University for four years while playing for their ice hockey team in Hockey East . With his team he won the Hockey East Championship in 2006. Towards the end of the 2007/08 season , the winger made his professional ice hockey debut for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League . In the following two years he was a regular at their AHL league rivals Rockford IceHogs , during which time he also played three games for the Fresno Falcons in the ECHL . The 2010/11 season spent at MacArthur AHL team San Antonio Rampage . Most of the following season he was in the squad of the ECHL team Las Vegas Wranglers , but also played for the Lake Erie Monsters and Peoria Rivermen in the AHL.
For the 2012/13 season MacArthur was signed by the Augsburg Panthers from the German Ice Hockey League . He stayed there for two years. After a rather weak second year with the Augsburg Panthers, he left the Swabians for Austria. He signed with the Vienna Capitals . He reached the EBEL final with the Viennese , where they were defeated by EC Red Bull Salzburg in four games. After the 2014/15 season he moved to the Graz 99ers . In 26 games he reached only 7 points scorer (2 goals, 5 assists) and left the Styrians after only three months. He then signed with the Adirondack Thunder from the ECHL .
