Philip Thomas Jesper Haglund (born March 22, 1987 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish football player . The midfielder has played his career so far in his home country and the Netherlands , in 2013 he won the Swedish National Cup with IFK Göteborg .
Career
Haglund comes from the youth of the Stockholm club IF Brommapojkarna . For the club he made his debut in the second division season in 2006 in the competition team and played 13 league games as a substitute in the Superettan during the season , in which he contributed to the club's first ascent to the Allsvenskan with two goals this season . At the same time, he temporarily ran for the cooperation club Gröndals IK . In the first division he came for the first time in professional football to appearances in the starting line-up, although he was still mainly responsible for the role of supplementary player. After the direct relegation followed by the side of Kim Odelius , Pär Asp , Christer Youssef and Joakim Runnemo, the renewed promotion to the Swedish House of Lords. There he established himself as a regular player and was in the starting line-up for all of his 28 season appearances in the course of the 2009 season , when the club achieved relegation as twelfth in the table.
Haglund had thus drawn attention to itself at Svenska Fotbollförbundet on the one hand and aroused interest abroad on the other. National coach Erik Hamrén nominated him in mid-December for the upcoming January 2010 tour of the Swedish national team during the winter break. In early January, however, he signed a working paper with the Dutch club SC Heerenveen , which tied him to the club until the summer of 2014. As a result, his participation in the national team tour was canceled. Until the end of the 2009/10 season , he ran regularly in the Eredivisie , but fluctuated between bench and starting XI. In the following season he was only left with the role of substitute for a long time, only towards the end of the season after a coach change from Jan de Jonge to Ron Jans the new head coach gave him more minutes.
Nevertheless, Haglund decided to return to Sweden in the summer of 2011 , and he signed a contract with IFK Gothenburg until the end of 2014. At his new club he was a regular player straight away. Under coach Mikael Stahre , the team around Tobias Hysén , Emil Salomonsson , Robin Söder , Mikael Dyrestam and Mattias Bjärsmyr reached the final of the national cup in 2013. After the game against Djurgårdens IF had ended 1-1 at the end of extra time, the penalty shoot-out decided in favor of Gothenburg. Haglund had converted the first penalty.
