Philip Stockton

Philip B. "Phil" Stockton is an award-winning sound engineer who has been involved in around 140 film and television productions since his career began in the mid-1970s.

Life

Stockton was awarded an Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing in 2012 for his work at Hugo Cabret together with Eugene Gearty . This film also earned Stockton and Gearty, along with Tom Fleischman and John Midgley , a British Academy Film Award for Best Sound . 2013 he and Gearty for their work in Life of Pi Life of Pi for another Oscar, and (along with Drew Kunin and Ron Bartlett nominated) for another British Academy Film Awards and won together with Kenton Jakub a Golden Reel Award of Motion Picture Sound Editors Society. Stockton is also the recipient of an Emmy for his work at Boardwalk Empire , three other Golden Reel Awards, and three other Emmys, two other British Academy Film Awards, and four other Golden Reel Awards.
