Poncelet Prize
The Poncelet Prize (French Prix Poncelet) is a prize of the Académie des sciences , which was donated in 1868 by the widow of Jean-Victor Poncelet , mainly to honor achievements in applied mathematics. The original prize money from 1876 was 2000 francs. It was initially awarded annually, but only every three years in the 1960s and 1970s.
