Prosotsani ( Greek Προσοτσάνη ( f. Sg. )) Has been a municipality in the northeastern Greek region of East Macedonia and Thrace since 2011 . The parish is divided into two parish districts. The administrative seat is the small town of the same name Prosotsani .

The municipality of Prosotsani extends over 481.846 km² in the west of the East Macedonia and Thrace region on the border with the Central Macedonia region . Neighboring communities are Nevrokopi in the north and Drama and Doxato in the west .
Administrative division
The municipality was formed after the administrative reform in 2010 from the merger of the former municipalities Prosotsani and Sitagri . The administrative seat of the municipality is the city of Prosotsani . The former municipalities have since formed municipal districts. The community is further subdivided into 2 city districts and 16 local communities.
