When Shawn Spencer accidentally sees a report of a theft on the news, he gives the police a tip about the perpetrator, which later turns out to be true. He was then summoned for interrogation and only escaped prison by claiming that he was a clairvoyant. After he is asked by the police chief for help in the case of a kidnapped son of a textile company owner, he persuades his friend Gus to solve the case with him. After initial failures, the two finally find two bodies in a hut in the forest, one of which is the missing son. The police see the case as closed, quite the opposite of Shawn. After meeting his father, he finds the bag in which the ransom was . He then concludes that his own father murdered his son and his friend. When Shawn and Gus confront him about it, he denies everything until Shawn mentions the bite wound on his hand and he then confesses. | |||||||

At this year's Spelling Bee in Santa Barbara there is a case of sabotage, falls as the big favorite Brendan Vu during the event mysteriously fainted. Gus, who took part in such competitions as a child, is absolutely thrilled, to the sadness of Shawn, who thinks it's all a freak show. A short time later, the game director of the competition, Elvin Cavanaugh, fell over the area of his box and died immediately on impact. This case is crystal clear to the police, namely that Cavanaugh had suffered a heart attack and as a result fell over the railing. Shawn, with the help of a friend of his father's, finds out that Cavanaugh's food was poisoned . When the crime scene is searched again, it becomes clear that the game master has observed a father of the participants cheating and wanted to have him exposed. During the grand finale, Shawn discovers the trick that his father used to convey the correct spelling of the words to his son. In the end, the two are disqualified and arrested. | |||||||

On the day of the wedding of the son of the federal attorney Maxwell, the five million expensive family ring disappears from the safe of the organizing hotel. Shawn is of course really excited to work on the case, but Lassiter wants to work on it alone. While he is following his wild theories, Shawn sneaks up to the soon to be married couple and questions them. Under a pretext, Shawn gets Gus to drive him to the hotel in question and they narrow the list of suspects to the wedding party. During their further investigations, they find Lassiter's main suspect, the hotel's security chief, dead in the dining elevator. In the evening, Shawn and Gus hold a bachelorette party for the groom and the bride and rule out other suspects. In the middle of the wedding ceremony, Shawn reveals Lacey as the perpetrator, who initially denies everything, but then tries to escape. On the run, she stumbles over an outstretched foot and loses her wedding bouquet, which actually contains the ring. | |||||||

Two bank robbers are released from prison after a four-year sentence and are now looking for the three and a half million dollars that were looted back then. The police now believe that the two want to use force to get the money back from the wife of the third accomplice at the time, Raylene Wilcroft. When she then turns to Shawn, he tries to contact her dead husband. When this ends with a broken window, Shawn uses his clairvoyant function to access the file on the bank robbery case. A little outside of the city they finally find David, who was believed dead, who tells them about his three years of searching for the money. In the evening Shawn and Gus try to break into the apartment of the two bank robbers, but are discovered by them. After Shawn has convinced the two of them that he is a "real" clairvoyant, the two tell them who is really behind all this. In the mausoleum , the three bank robbers meet again, at the end of which Raylene and David are arrested. In the end, Shawn and Gus search a deserted path for the money they still haven't found. | |||||||

Shawn and Gus are caught on the scene of an apparent suicide that appears to be one of many suicides in the past few months, the only witness being a cat. A little later, when another apparent suicide occurred by an actress who had just made her breakthrough, the police gradually realized that they weren't suicides after all. As Shawn investigates further, they discover the only commonality between the murders, namely that they have all called a self-help line. When they visit the building where the hotline is located, they first try to convict one of the employees, but when the police show up a little later and arrest these employees, Shawn now knows that he is innocent. He remembered the telephone company worker who had listened to a call outside on the telephone pole, and found out who the next victim was. In the apartment of the policeman Buzz, they find the perpetrator who was just about to force McNab to commit suicide. When the police show up, Lassiter is able to overpower the perpetrator with the help of Shawn's cat. | |||||||

At the annual rehearsals of the reenactment of the American Civil War , this year it is about the battle of Piper's Cove, by some amateur actors under the leadership of Lassiter, one of the actors is killed by a bullet. Lassiter believes there is a tragic accident, while Shawn believes it is murder. At first, Shawn's old school friend George is suspected of having an affair with his wife, but the size of the gunshot wound doesn't quite match it. Since they are stuck, Shawn and Gus want to participate in the reenactment of the Civil War in order to get more information. Shawn first finds the missing bullet and also discovers that the perpetrator hadn't hit his intended target. On the day of the performance, they first notice a drain tunnel that leads directly into Mahoney's tent. They put the perpetrator in his own shop and during the later interrogation it turns out that he has done common things with Sally, his real goal. | |||||||

The psychologist Dr. Blinn was found murdered in his office. Shawn and Gus try to solve the case, but Lassiter wants to solve it alone. Back at her office, she asks a man named Robert to help him because he thinks a ghost wants to kill him. Shawn thinks the man is crazy, while Gus is desperate to take on the case. Next they look at his apartment, where Shawn suspects a nasty ex-wife. The next day, Shawn and Gus visit Robert's ex-wife in San Francisco , and it turns out it wasn't her. During their further examinations at Robert's house, they discover that he has a multiple personality disorder. After reviewing his patient record, Shawn knew who Dr. Blinn had killed and why. They storm into Dr. Dake and Lassiter can barely prevent Regina, Robert's feminine form, Dr. Drake slays. | |||||||

While Chief Vick and Lassiter are at a conference, Juliet has taken over the management of the department for so long and tells Shawn about a missing 18-year-old teenager who the police are only allowed to investigate after 48 hours. While visiting his home, Shawn and Gus find out, besides a lot of money, that the missing boy may be at an annual comic book exhibition. The two gain admission to the convention by lying and have to find out that he is not there. During further investigations, they discover a connection to the production studio of the film The Red Phantom , which the missing boy sharply criticized. But when the studio boss himself and then his PhD assistant Talia disappear, Shawn suspects who is the only one who has a motive to do all of this. Shawn goes on stage and reveals Hiltz Kooler, the creator of the comic book The Green Spirit , as the culprit, as his comic book character was demoted to a joke character by a bad film by the same production company. | |||||||

Shawn and Gus help an old colleague of Shawn's father solve the murder case of Mike McMillan, which he had actually already solved and has now forgotten because of his Alzheimer's disease . In the circumstance of death, they discover certain similarities between this case and a tragic accident twenty years ago in which a young woman named Zoe Sharp was attacked and killed by a mountain lion . During their further examinations in the forest, based on the traces at the crime scene, they discover that it was not an accident after all. Through the victim's friend and a gullible pharmacist, they learn that both the victim Mike and Mr. Crocker have been prescribed the same medication because they both suffer from the same hereditary disease. At a Mr. Crocker party, Shawn exposes Ms. Crocker as the murderess of Zoe and Mike, who simply didn't want to share the family fortune with them. | |||||||

As Lassiter has doubts about his ability as a detective in the face of some recent failures, Shawn, Gus and Juliet help him solve the case of the dead astronomer Bryant Vallery. Shawn then starts a job at the observatory to get more information. During his investigations, he finds that the victim had an affair with one of the employees and had only recently ended it. After Shawn suspected Bryant's partner Hugo at the beginning, they paid a visit to his property and found a lot of poisonous thimbles in his garden . When interviewing the employees, they learn that Hugo has made an extraordinary discovery and would now like to share it at a press conference. When the police show up, Shawn, Gus and Juliet Lassiter help out and explain to him how Bryant poisoned his partner with alkaloids for months . | |||||||

Detectives Lassiter voluntarily leaves Shawn and Gus with a case in which a man named Fred Turk claims he was abducted by aliens and woke up naked in a field. A short time later, another alleged kidnapping victim turns up in the same field where Turk was found. The only thing the two have in common ultimately brings Shawn and Gus to a tanning salon. There they receive a call from Chief Vick, who tells them about another victim, this time dead. Shawn remembers a shamrock symbol that all three have on their arms that takes them to an Irish restaurant. During a speed dating there , Shawn, Gus, Lassiter and Juliet try to find out who the culprit is, but nothing comes out at first. After some further investigation, they take part in a speed dating again, both of which Shawn Marvin, a clerk in the restaurant, and his wife Gloria are revealed as the perpetrators. | |||||||

While Shawn and Gus are in court , they notice a young woman named Sandra Panitch, who is charged with the murder of well-known weather reporter Jackson Hale, and decide to help her incompetent attorney Adam Hornstock as an advisor. During their investigations, the two learned that Jackson's colleague Ruben Leonard had wanted the job of weather reporter for some time. The prosecution then brings a video as evidence, on which the accused can be seen in the murder. Shawn still believes in the client's innocence and takes the video home with him, where he happens to see the real killer in the video. At the trial, he shows the jury where in the video the perpetrator can be seen and confronts them with who then confesses the crime. | |||||||

While Gus is on a company outing, Shawn receives the case of the missing world-class tennis player Deanna. During the first examinations, they realize that she must have a secret friend and that she has recently been more interested in boys than in her career. The missing person is found critically injured in her friend's apartment. The police assume that it was their former stalker Felix Alvarez, although Juliet does not fully share this view and therefore helps Shawn with his investigations. After Shawn has looked at the crime scene photos and the crime scene himself again, he realizes that something is wrong. In the police headquarters he finally reveals one of the photographers who took photos of the crime scene for the police as the perpetrator. | |||||||

Henry's friend Bill Peterson refuses to report his son Brandon missing after learning that he stole $ 30,000 from him, so he enlists Shawn and Gus' help. They quickly find the reason for Brandon's money problems, namely that he belongs to a ring of illegal poker players . They then meet Brandon online and convince him to go back to his father. But instead of reaching an agreement with his father, he steals all of the money from his safe and goes to a casino where a poker tournament is currently taking place. Shawn, Gus, Bill and Henry can prevent him from playing and instead let Shawn take part in the tournament, which also makes it to the final. When Shawn's opponent JP briefly takes off his glasses, Shawn observes a strange glowing substance on the cards and finally reveals the trick with the JP with the help of a dealer who always knew where the high cards were. Meanwhile, Juliet tried to organize a birthday party for Lassiter, but in the end this led to a meeting of people whom Lassiter had arrested at one point or another. | |||||||

Juliet is undercover and asks Shawn and Gus for help on a case of alleged suicide by a student named Doreen Harthan. When the three of them are present at a student party, they witness some strange events, such as: B. a voice repeatedly word: "ACNAIB" says. Later he discovers that Bianca has actually read it backwards and tells Juliet about it. But before they arrive at the dormitory, Bianca has already been killed by an electric shock with the help of a toaster. A little later Shawn discovers that Alice must be behind Bianca's murder when she found out what Alice and Betty did to their best friend Doreen. Alice has since asked Juliet to take part in a so-called wake in the abandoned psychiatric institution, with the intention of killing Juliet. Lassiter, Shawn and Gus come to her aid and together they can finally overwhelm Alice. |
