The Qatari Amateur Radio Society (QARS) is a national association for radio amateurs in Qatar. The organization uses QARS as its official international abbreviation, based on the English translation of its name. The QARS maintains a QSL office for members who regularly communicate with radio amateurs in other countries. The QARS represents the interests of radio amateurs and shortwave listeners in Qatar before national and international regulatory authorities for telecommunications. QARS is the national company that represents Qatar in the International Amateur Radio Union .

- In 2010, the Qatar Post Office issued a postage stamp in honor of QARS. This marked the first time a Middle Eastern postal service paid tribute to an amateur radio organization.
- In Doha, QARS operates a radio beacon in the 6 m band with the station identifier A71A / B.
- Since 2014, QARS has been involved in the Es'hail-2 cooperation project with the Es'hailSat Qatar Satellite Company and AMSAT Germany .
