Réka Gyurátz (born May 31, 1996 ) is a Hungarian hammer thrower .

Athletic career

In 2012 Réka Gyurátz took part in the Junior World Championships in Barcelona and finished eighth there. In 2013 she won the gold medal at the youth world championships in Donetsk with a new championship record. She also won the silver medal at the European Junior Championships in Rieti . A year later she won silver at the Junior World Championships in Eugene . She also qualified for the European Championships in Zurich , where she was eliminated in qualification. In 2015 she finished fifth at the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna, Sweden . At the World Championships in Beijing , she was eliminated with 68.26 meters in qualification .

In 2017, she barely missed a medal in fourth at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz with 66.67 m. This was followed by participation in the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated with 67.48 m in qualification. A few weeks later she came in ninth place at the Student World Games in Taiwan with 64.14 m, as well as at the European Championships in Berlin the following year with a width of 70.48 m. In 2019 she again took part in the Summer Universiade in Naples , where she finished fourth with 69.51 m. At the end of September, she was eliminated from the qualification at the World Championships in Doha with 67.41 m .

From 2016 to 2020 Gyurátz was the Hungarian hammer throw champion every year.
