Rafał Lepel (born February 13, 1990 in Katowice ) is a former Polish biathlete .

Rafał Lepel lives and trains in Katowice and starts for the AZS AWF Katowice . The student is trained by Malwina Wojtas. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Polish B national team.

Lepel competed in his first international races in 2006 as part of the European Junior Cup, which later became the IBU Cup . The first international championships were the Junior World Championships 2008 in Ruhpolding , where he was 48th in the individual, 71st in the sprint and 17th in the relay race. A year later he ran in Canmore on ranks 36 in the individual, 45 in the sprint, 41 in the pursuit and 14th in the sprint race. The 2010 Junior World Championships followed in Torsby . In Sweden, Lepel was 48th in the individual, 50th in the sprint, 56th in the pursuit and 17th in the relay competition. Shortly afterwards he also started in the junior races of the European Championships 2010 in Otepää and was 45th in the individual, 24th in the sprint and 29th in the pursuit. His last Junior World Championships ran the Pole 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě and was there 88th in the sprint and 16th in the relay. This was followed by the start of the junior races of the European Championships which took place in Ridnaun in 2011 . Lepel was 39th of the individual, 33rd of the sprint, 24th of the pursuit and did not finish the race with his relay team as a lapped team. He also competed in the summer biathlon . At the junior races of the World Championships in Oberhof in 2009 he was 23rd in the sprint and 24th in the pursuit of the cross-country races as well as 18th in the sprint, 19th in the pursuit race and eighth in the mixed relay race on roller skis . 2010 in Duszniki-Zdrój place 30 in the sprint and 32 in the pursuit. With Maria Bukowska , Monika Hojnisz and Łukasz Słonina , he won the bronze medal as the final runner in the mixed relay race. In 2011 Lepel was lapped 23rd in the sprint in the races in Nové Město, in the pursuit race and ninth in the mixed relay.

Lepel made his debut with the men in 2008 at an IBU Cup race in Obertilliach with the men in the performance category and finished 104th in a sprint race. In 2010 he achieved 69th place in a sprint in the same place and was the best result in the racing series so far. At the Polish Championships in Jakuszyce in 2011 , he won the runner-up in the relay race with Maciej Nędza-Kubiniec , Grzegorz Bril and Tomasz Sikora . The first international men's championship was the 2012 European Championships in Osrblie . In the individual Lepel was 56th, in the sprint 39th, in the pursuit race 43rd and with Łukasz Szczurek , Grzegorz Bril and Adam Kwak in the relay race tenth.
