Łukasz Słonina (born June 5, 1989 in Sokolowsko ) is a former Polish biathlete .

Łukasz Słonina is a student and lives in Sokolowsko. First he started for MKS Duszniki Zdrój , now he starts for AZS AWF Wrocław and is trained by Roman Sokala. He made his international debut at the Junior World Championships 2008 in Ruhpolding , where he was 69th of the individual, 75th of the sprint and with Rafał Lepel and Krzysztof Miętus 17th with the relay. Shortly afterwards he took part in the junior races of the European Championships in 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě and was there 63rd of the individual, 57th of the sprint and sixth with the relay. At the 2009 Junior World Championships inCanmore Słonina came in 56th in the sprint, 53 in pursuit and individual and 14th with the relay. In the further course of the year he took part in the junior races of the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof . In cross-country races , the Pole finished 26th in the sprint, on rollerskis 34th in the sprint, 27th in the pursuit and with Maria Bukowska , Anna Mąka and Rafał Lepel sixth in the mixed relay. In 2010 Słonina started at three international junior championships. At the World Championships Torsby he finished 16 in the individual, 73 in the sprint and with Rafał Lepel, Grzegorz Jakubowicz and Marek Firlej 17 in the relay race. The European Championships followed , in which Słonina was 50th of the individual, 15th of the sprint and 21st of the pursuit. Several months later he took part in the 2010 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Duszniki-Zdrój , where he finished 13th in the sprint and 15 in the cross-country pursuit, on roller skis he was 23 in the sprint, 28th in the pursuit and won with Maria Bukowska, Monika Hojnisz and Rafał Lepel won the bronze medal in the mixed relay race.

Słonina competed in his first men's race in 2008 in Obertilliach in the IBU Cup and was 71st of an individual. It is also his best placement in the second highest international racing series in biathlon, in which he was used several times only in the 2010/2011 season . In 2013 he competed in his first World Cup races in Oberhof . With Łukasz Szczurek , Rafał Lepel and Adam Kwak he finished 19th in a lapped Polish relay, in the sprint 90. These are his best results so far in relay and individual races in the World Cup. The first highlight among men was the 2013 World Championships in Nové Město na Moravě. With Łukasz Szczurek, Adam Kwak and Krzysztof Pływaczyk , Słonina finished 28th in the relay and was the starting runner of the lapped Polish representation. He finished 102 in the sprint.

Nationally, Słonina won the bronze medal at the Polish Championships 2012 with the relay of the AZS AWF Wrocław together with Piotr Kotas , Mateusz Steć and Przemysław Sobies . He was able to repeat this result in 2013 at the Polish Championships in Jakuszyce on the side of Łukasz Pancerz , Przemysław Sobies and Mateusz Steć. In the sprint he won his first championship title ahead of Łukasz Szczurek and Grzegorz Guzik , in the pursuit race he fell back to fourth.
