Ralf-Peter Brinkmann

Ralf-Peter Brinkmann (born September 17, 1960 in Detmold ) is a German sound engineer and music director for television and radio. He is also active as a composer and gives solo concerts as a pianist. He is also the producer of his own band Jaah .

Education

From 1982 to 1983 Ralf-Peter Brinkmann was at the Conservatory of the City of Cologne in the jazz class with Jiggs Whigham . From 1983 to 1987 he studied piano at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf with Ria Goetze and from 1987 to 1992 he studied sound engineer at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Johann Nikolaus Matthes and in the jazz class with Walter Norris .

Ralf-Peter Brinkmann worked for ARD as mixer and sound engineer a. a. worked with Alex Clare , Amy Winehouse , Arctic Monkeys , Beastie Boys , Cyndi Lauper , Elbow , Jamie Cullum , Jane Birkin , Katie Melua , Mark Knopfler , Moby , Nick Cave , Portishead , Rufus Wainwright , Snow Patrol , The Cure and Van Morrison , for the EBU u. a. with Till Brönner and Natalie Merchant .

As a sound engineer, he also mixed the Live 8 concert event in Berlin on July 2, 2005. Here u. a. Artists like Herbert Grönemeyer , Green Day Faithless a-ha , Roxy Music and Chris de Burgh . The event was broadcast live worldwide. Further TV concerts a. a. with Annett Louisan , Silbermond , Silly , Roger Hodgson , The Boss Hoss .
