New formation of the Fraternitas Saturni and the Illuminati of Thanateros

In the early 1980s, Tegtmeier initiated a new formation of the occult association Fraternitas Saturni (FS) with the help of a few lower-grade FS members who still had the old name FS. For this purpose, previous ideological set pieces of the FS were mixed with the so-called chaos magic . The leading member of the Temple of Set , Stephen Flowers , took up this syncretism of various magical doctrines and practices and processed the material in his book Fire and Ice , which was also published in German in 1990. Tegtmeier has been a member of the FS since March 15, 1984, and took the name of the order Scorpio and completed the 12 ° (a master's degree) just two months after his admission. After disagreements with the two old masters Herbert Fink and Benz, Benz resigned. Grandmaster Babacan , who replaced him, considered Tegtmeier unbearable and prompted him to be banished from the lodge. Tegtmeier successfully resisted his expulsion and then tried to dissolve the Fraternitas Saturni, which failed. According to the "Lexicon of Secret Knowledge", he founded and propagated "Pragmatic Magic".

In 1978 Tegtmeier co-founded the Illuminati of Thanateros , for which he made a translation of Peter J. Carroll's Liber Null . In 1996 the Frankl-Rietti couple founded the OTO derivative OTO Foundation with the support of Tegtmeier .

reception

The historian Marco Pasi describes Tegtmeier as a prominent personality in German, occult circles and circles shaped by Aleister Crowley . Tegtmeier's Crowley monograph mentions Pasi as interesting in itself, as it deals with Crowley's attempts to influence politics and represents a factual attempt to place Crowley in the context of his epoch, the change from late Victorian society to Edwardian society .
