The Juncker-Poos government , or the Juncker I government , was sworn in on January 26, 1995 after Jacques Santer resigned as Prime Minister to become President of the European Commission . Under the leadership of Jean-Claude Juncker, the government was based on a grand coalition of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV) and the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party (LSAP). On February 4, 1998, the cabinet was reshuffled because the two ministers Marc Fischbach and Johny Lahure resigned. The Juncker I government was in office until August 7, 1999.
