The following rail routes are currently served by Regiojet:

Regional transport Bratislava - Komárno

In January 2011 Regiojet won the tender to operate regional trains in Slovakia on the Bratislava – Dunajská Streda – Komárno route from March 2012. This broke the railway monopoly of the ZSSK state railway . It is planned to participate in further tenders in Slovakia.

Long-distance transport Prague - Ostrava - Havířov

Regiojet has been operating trains between Prague and Havířov via Ostrava since September 2011 in long-distance passenger rail transport . Currently (2015) the route is served about every two hours. Three pairs of trains are connected to / from Návsí (Jablunkov) and one pair each to / from Martin ( Slovakia ) or Košice (Slovakia).

On the Prague - Ostrava section, Regiojet is engaged in a " ruinous price war " with the state railway České dráhy (ČD) and the private railway company Leo Express, according to the specialist magazine Eisenbahn-Revue International .

Long-distance transport Bratislava - Žilina - Košice

From December 2014, three Regiojet train pairs operated on this route, which is located entirely in Slovakia. Operation of this route was discontinued on January 31, 2017.

Long-distance transport Prague - Brno - Bratislava / Staré Město

Since the timetable change on December 11, 2016, the Regiojet has been running a new line on the aforementioned route (via Břeclav ). The line is served by a total of 3 trains.

From Prague at 7:19 am, train 1035 to Bratislava, at 3:19 pm train 1031 to Bratislava and at 5:19 pm a train 1033 to Staré Město u Uherského Hradiště . Return from Staré Město at 4:44 train 1030, from Bratislava at 5:31 and 14:56 trains 1032 and 1038 to Prague.

It was not clear from the start that Regiojet would operate the line. České dráhy had previously used their routes for its own journeys. The former has planned to use express trains on the Bratislava – Břeclav – Prague route. This has resulted in a lawsuit that was decided in favor of Regiojet.

Long-distance traffic Prague - Brno - Vienna

Since December 2017 RegioJet has also been operating from Vienna Central Station .

Since the timetable change on December 10, 2017, Regiojet has been offering four daily connections on the route Prague - Brno - Vienna together with the Austrian railway company Graz-Köflacher-Bahn (which brings in the operating licenses for the Austrian side) . Further intermediate stops are only planned in the border town of Břeclav and in the East Bohemian town of Pardubice .

Regiojet acquired nine class 162 electric locomotives from Ferrovie Nord Milano in 2010 for long-distance transport . The machines were built in 1995 by Škoda for the Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) , but were not accepted. A conversion increased their top speed from 120 km / h to 140 km / h. They have the company numbers 162.112–120.

In 2011 Regiojet took over 28 decommissioned Eurofima wagons from the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) , and a year later from the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) another twelve. In September 2014 it was reported that the Romanian wagon builder Astra Vagoane will deliver ten new wagons to Regiojet in 2015, which are to be used in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Regiojet has also rented three Vectron locomotives from ELL Austria , mainly for the Bratislava - Žilina - Košice connection, which has been in service since December 2014 . In addition, another 18 cars were bought by ÖBB, so that a total of 84 former Austrian cars are in stock. In 2019, Regiojet acquired air-conditioned couchette cars and open- plan cars ( Apmz 125 and Bpmz 857 ) from DB Fernverkehr , some of which were fitted with new seats.

The long-distance trains have four car classes : Low-Cost (2nd class), Standard (2nd class), Relax (1st class) and Business (luxury class).

Regional traffic

Regiojet used nine three-part multiple units of the Bombardier Talent type for the Bratislava - Komárno route . They were rented from Alpha Trains , used to run on the Prignitzer Eisenbahn and carry the series designation 643. In 2013, five Talent were returned and six Desiros were rented for them. Regiojet also uses railcars of the DB class 628.2 , which previously operated in Germany.

For the operation of the regional routes in Ústecký kraj vehicles of the DB class 628.2 were taken over from DB Regio. According to the contract, the vehicles are to be replaced by new electric multiple units of the Pesa Elf type by 2021 .
