The transport company Regionalverkehr Erzgebirge GmbH is a regional transport company in the Free State of Saxony .
history
Due to the district reform in Saxony in 2008 and the resulting Erzgebirge district, the two transport companies BVO Verkehrsbetriebe Erzgebirge GmbH and Autobus GmbH Saxony merged on January 1st, 2011. On April 12, 2011, the company was renamed Regionalverkehr Erzgebirge GmbH. The district of Zwickau will award its transport services from January 1, 2019 in a tender. The Erzgebirge regional transport will not take part in this tender.
Holdings
As of 2019, Regionalverkehr Erzgebirge is involved in RVE Akademie GmbH.
In the past, the company was involved in the Sächsische Dampfeisenbahngesellschaft (SDG), which once emerged from the former BVO subsidiary BVO Bahn, and in the City-Bahn Chemnitz .
