Reichardtswerbe is located northwest of Weißenfels on the southern edge of the Südfeldsee . The Bäumchen district is also located in the district.

history

In a register of the tithe of the Hersfeld monastery that was created between 881 and 899, Reichardtswirtschaft is mentioned for the first time in a document as the place of Vuirbina im Friesenfeld, which is subject to a tenancy requirement .

A parish was founded in Posendorf around 900 and built a church. Due to dilapidation, a new church was built in 1840, whereby the old tower was retained. The Posendorfer church functions as a Catholic church, while the neighboring church in Reichardtswerbe is Protestant. In 1687, a church in Reichardtswerbe was consecrated as the successor to a smaller building from 1565. In 1942 it fell victim to a fire, and the reconstructed building was inaugurated in 1951.

In 1757 Frederick the Great defeated the French army and imperial army in the area of ​​Reichardtswirtschaft . This battle went down in history under the name of the Battle of Rossbach .

On September 1, 2010, Reichardtswirtschaft was incorporated into Weissenfels.
