history
In the Middle Ages, the area belonged to the Hviding harde des Törninglehn and with this part of the Hadersleben office since 1524 at the latest . But several ecclesiastical institutions had possessions here, including the Lügum monastery and the cathedral chapter and bishop of Ripen. The latter belonged to the kingdom, the rest of the parish to the Duchy of Schleswig .
In 1864 the entire community became Prussian and from then on formed a unified rural community in the Hadersleben district. In 1920 almost all of the 325 participants in the referendum voted in favor of joining Denmark. Reisby remained a unified community, which, however, now belonged to the Tondern office .
