Renate Will (born April 27, 1947 in Neustadt am Kulm ) is a German politician of the FDP and was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 2008 to 2013 and the education policy spokeswoman for the FDP parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament.

Life

After finishing school in Bayreuth , she studied English and French in Munich and Erlangen . During her studies , she spent two one-year stays abroad in the United Kingdom and France .

Renate Will has been married to Wolfgang Will (lawyer and councilor of the parish of Vaterstetten ) since 1972 and has three children.

She worked for the Munich Tourist Office for three years and switched to the adult education center in 1975 . From 2008 to 2013 she was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament.

Renate Will has been a member of the FDP since 1978 . From 1986 to 1990 she headed the Ebersberg district association as chairwoman. From 1993 to 2011 she was a member of the FDP state board of Bavaria and from 2000 to 2011 deputy state chairwoman of the FDP Bavaria. From 1999 to 2003 she was chairwoman of the Upper Bavaria district association and education policy spokeswoman for the FDP regional association of Bavaria. From 2005 to 2008 she worked as the general manager of the regional association.

Public offices

Renate Will has been a member of the district council in Ebersberg since 1990 and was a councilor in Zorneding from 1990 to 1992 . In 2003 she ran unsuccessfully for the Bavarian state parliament . In the state elections in 2008 , she ran as a direct candidate in the Starnberg constituency and was elected to the state parliament via the district list of Upper Bavaria . She was a member of the Exclusion for Education, Youth and Sport and was particularly committed to inclusion in schools, representing her parliamentary group in the intergroup working group on the implementation of inclusion in schools .

After the FDP was unable to overcome the five percent hurdle in the state elections in Bavaria in 2013 , it left the state parliament.

Since November 12, 2015, she has succeeded her husband, who is resigning his mandate for reasons of age, as a councilor in Vaterstetten .

She was the representative of the Bavarian State Parliament in the Broadcasting Council of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation . She sits on the parliamentary advisory board of the state center for political education.

She is a member of the Bavarian State Women's Council, on the board of the Thomas Dehler Foundation , on the advisory board of the Kollping-Bildungswerk, member of the Special Olympics circle of friends and on the advisory board of the integrative Derksen-Gymnasium .

In 1978 she was co-founder and until 1986 chairwoman of the association for pre-school education in the countryside, Zorneding eV
