Rilton Cup
The Rilton Cup is an international chess tournament in Stockholm that has been held annually around the turn of the year since 1971 . Swedish chess players should be given the opportunity to gain experience in fighting with foreign masters. The organization of this tournament is funded by the Foundation Riltonfond that from the estate of the Swedish physician gates Rilton was financially equipped. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the 2020/21 event was canceled; instead, the Rilton Winners' Cup will take place online , for which all previous tournament winners who are still alive are eligible.
