Through his mother's marriage, Walker junior later became the stepson of film producer David O. Selznick . He attended the renowned Lawrenceville School near Princeton and studied acting at the Actors Studio in New York in the early 1960s . In addition to film roles, his career was also largely shaped by guest appearances in television series such as Bonanza , Mord is her Hobby , Columbo , LA Law and Time Tunnel . Perhaps his best-known series role was that of the rebellious youth, Charlie X 'in the same spaceship Enterprise - result from the year 1966th

After Walker had not been in front of the camera since the early 1990s, he played the role of an agent in the B-movie thriller Heaven's War in 2018 . This was his last of more than 75 film and television productions. From three marriages, Robert Walker junior had a total of eight children. He died in Malibu in December 2019 at the age of 79.
