Roberto Sgorbati was an Italian racing car driver who was active in the 1950s.
Career in motorsport
Roberto Scorbati was active in Italian sports car racing in the 1950s . In 1948 he competed in his first Mille Miglia , which ended in failure. He achieved his best result in 1956 when he reached 11th place overall in an Alfa Romeo Giulietta SV among the works drivers, some of whom drove sports cars with high horsepower and displacement , and won one of the touring car classes. In addition to some successes in national sports car races, he and his brother Giuseppe won the Messina 10-hour race in 1954 .
In 1955 he completed his only 24-hour race at Le Mans , in which he was overall eleventh as a partner of Giulio Cabianca on an Osca MT4 1500 .
