history

View of Rodlera

The group of houses Rodlera was first mentioned in 1578 under the name "Rodla". In the years 1608 and 1609 only three properties were found in Rodlera. In 1682 the name "auf der Rodlera" is documented. The settlement belonged to the manor of the manor Helmsgrün , in whose corridor Rodlera is located. Until 1856, Rodlera was in the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Plauen . In 1856 the place was affiliated with the Plauen court office and in 1875 with the Plauen administration .

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Rodlera came as part of the Helmsgrün community in 1952 to the Plauen-Land district in the Chemnitz district (renamed Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon "Plauen district" from 1990 and 1996 rose in the Vogtlandkreis. After the Pöhl dam was completed in 1964, a cottage settlement was built near the village . Individual bungalows and weekend houses were also built directly in Rodlera.

The municipality of Helmsgrün with its Rodlera district merged with the municipalities of Jocketa, Herlasgrün, Ruppertsgrün and Möschwitz to form the new municipality of Pöhl as part of the municipal reform in the Free State of Saxony on January 1, 1994.
