history

The place was founded in 1920 and briefly belonged to the Taurian Governorate , which existed until October 1921. After the establishment of the Soviet Union , it was part of the ASSR of the Crimea (later Crimean Oblast) within the Russian SFSR . In 1971 Vozhod received the status of an urban-type settlement .

By resolution of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the Treaty of Pereyaslav , Vozhod and the Crimean Oblast were annexed to the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic on April 26, 1954 . From 1991 to 2014 Vozhod was part of independent Ukraine.

As a result of the Crimean crisis , Vozhod has been under Russian control since March 21, 2014.
