Roger Gyselinck
Roger Gyselinck , also Roger Gijselinck , (born September 17, 1920 in Wetteren , † January 5, 2002 ibid) was a Belgian cyclist.
Roger Gyselinck was a professional from 1941 to 1954. In 1949 he took third place in the classic Liège – Bastogne – Liège . Once, in 1947 , he competed in the Tour de France and finished 47th overall. His greatest success was winning the Tour of Germany in 1950 , in which he also won three stages. In the same year he was third on the Tour of Belgium . With a much larger cast in 1951, he came in sixth place on the Tour of Germany .
On August 31, 1950, he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf for his victory in the Tour of Germany.
There was another cyclist of the same name who had his greatest successes before World War II .
