history

In 1976, the aerobatic team was created on behalf of the Chief of Air Force (CEMFA) to present the Portuguese Air Force at several festivals across the country. The team flew for the 102 Squadron "Panchos" for 18 years and made 41 flight demonstrations during this time. After that it was shut down. On the fifty-third birthday of the Portuguese Air Force , in 2005, the Rotores de Portugal were reactivated and integrated with the 552 Squadron in Beja on Air Base number 11.
