The Alap-Alap Formation is the official aerobatic team of the Royal Brunei Air Force , founded on February 7, 2011.

The Alap-Alap formation uses Pilatus PC-7 -MKII turboprop aircraft that were purchased in Switzerland in 1997. The Royal Brunei Air Force currently has a total of four PC-7 MK II aircraft. The aircraft are under the command of No 63 Squadron TUDB , the training squadron at Rimba Air Force Base .

The formation put on their show during the 50th anniversary of the Royal Brunei Air Force and conducts frequent training sessions. You are the first team in Brunei to perform aerobatic formation flight at low level at an altitude of 500 feet.

Pilots

The team consists of three pilots: a Royal Brunei Air Force pilot and two former Royal Air Force pilots. All are qualified flight instructors.
