Rudolf Rock & Die Schocker is a German rock band that has released a total of 17 albums and over 40 singles.

history

The band Rudolf Rock & Die Schocker was founded in 1975 by ex- Leinemann bassist Uli Salm (Rudolf Rock). In the following years the members of the band changed several times; the vast majority are musicians who were or are members of well-known music groups.

In 1981 they took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest - "A Song for Dublin" - with the title Mein Transistorradio (music: Michael Cretu , text: Michael Kunze ) and thus achieved 9th place.

They had their greatest chart success so far in 1991 with the title Herzilein (A cover of the title of the Wildecker Herzbuben ), which after appearing in Jürgen von the Lippe's TV show Geld oder Liebe was able to place in the charts for 14 weeks and up to Ranked 12th.

In 2011 Hugo Egon Balder released the album "Ist das schön" with the band as an accompaniment.

Others

The band name is a corruption of the name of Rudolf Schock , who was very well known as a singer in the field of opera and light music at the time the band was founded.

Reviews

“... An incredibly lively and lively rock 'n' roll is played, with fabulous solo parts and wonderfully kitschy background choirs. If you're looking for a nice change from the current disco sound at a party, this LP has it. And not too close! "

- BRAVO , March 18, 1976

Hardly had the Hamburg band“ RUDOLF ROCK & DIE SCHOCKER ”in the BREMER“ MUSIKLADEN ”according to the motto“ The drummer beats the beat like great - for good old rock 'n' roll ”their performance was behind them The secretary's telephones are hot.
