Rudolf von Jaschke
Rudolf Theodor Edler von Jaschke (born August 17, 1881 in Pettau ( Lower Styria ), † December 30, 1963 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) was a German gynecologist and obstetrician .
Live and act
Rudolf Jaschke was born in 1881 as the son of Hans Jaschke, who was ennobled in 1916 , an imperial and royal field marshal lieutenant and his wife Therese born. Vasold was born in Lower Styria , which has belonged to Slovenia since 1918 . He studied 1899-1904 medicine at the universities in Innsbruck , Berlin , Vienna and Freiburg . In 1905 Jaschke received his doctorate from the University of Innsbruck . He completed his assistantship in anatomy with Ferdinand Hochstetter (1861–1954) in Innsbruck , learned internal medicine with Friedrich von Müller (1858–1941) in Munich and surgery with Alexander Brenner senior. (1859–1936) in Linz .
Jaschke acquired his specialist gynecological training from 1907 to 1910 as a pupil of Alfons von Rosthorn (1857–1909) in Heidelberg and Vienna and Richard Kroemers (1849–1911) from 1910 to 1911 in Greifswald . Then Jaschke was senior physician with Erich Opitz (1871-1926) in Düsseldorf until 1912 . He followed him in 1912 to Giessen , where he completed his habilitation in 1912 and was appointed associate professor in 1918 . In the same year Rudolf von Jaschke was appointed full professor and appointed director of the women's clinic.
From 1941 to 1949 Rudolf von Jaschke, who was a member of the NSDAP, was President of the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics and organized its congress in Karlsruhe in 1949 . Jaschke stayed in Giessen until 1947. He refused appointments to chairs in Vienna and Düsseldorf .
After the Gießen women's clinic was destroyed in World War II on December 6, 1944, Jaschke created an interim clinic in Arnsburg Monastery , where he initially continued to work. He later switched to the municipal gynecological clinic in Offenbach am Main as chief physician , which he headed until May 9, 1949. Until 1954 he worked in a private gynecological clinic in the village before he finally retired.
Rudolf von Jaschke died in 1963 at the age of 82.

Rudolf von Jaschke was married to Elsbeth Deiters. The couple had five children: Herbert (1912-2010), Ruth, Inge, Priska (* 1920) and Wolfgang.
