Alfons von Rosthorn
Alfons Edler von Rosthorn (born September 19, 1857 in Oed , Lower Austria, † August 9, 1909 in Seckau , Styria) was an Austrian physician.
Life
Alfons von Rosthorn, a member of the Rosthorn industrialist family , was the son of Josef von Rosthorn . Rosthorn first studied zoology from 1877 to 1880, then medicine until 1884 at the University of Vienna . He was a student of Theodor Billroth and Rudolf Chrobak . After completing his studies, he was an assistant first in Graz and then again in Vienna at the II. University Women's Clinic. From 1891 he was a professor at the Karl Ferdinand University in Prague. From 1898 he was a full professor for obstetrics and gynecology in Graz, subsequently in Heidelberg, as well as being a director at the II University Women's Clinic in Vienna.
