Ruth Kappelsberger (born November 13, 1927 in Munich ; † September 5, 2014 in Berg am Starnberger See ) was a German TV announcer and actress .

Life

Ruth Kappelsberger received ballet lessons at the age of six and graduated from the Hanover Drama School . From 1946 to 1948 she appeared in the programs of the legendary Munich post-war cabaret Die Schaubude . She had other theater appearances at the Small Comedy Munich , the Small Theater in the Zoo in Frankfurt am Main , the Volkstheater Munich and on tours.

Kappelsberger joined Bayerischer Rundfunk as a spokesperson in 1946 and was one of the first announcers on German television since 1954. Since the beginning of the 1950s, she has appeared in several film productions, including Wetteruchten um Maria (1957; director: Luis Trenker ), Der Edelweißkönig (1957; with Christiane Hörbiger ), Plonk (1972) and numerous pieces by the comedy nobility . In addition, the actress worked in the TV series Royal Bavarian District Court , Three Are One Too Many , The Ladies' Circle and The Bailiff . The pieces Er und Sie with Walter Sedlmayr , which were produced by BR and played every Saturday morning on the radio in the 1980s, are legendary to this day .

From 1978 to 1984 she was a non-party member of the district council of the Starnberg district .

Since 1966 she was married in second marriage to pop singer Fred Bertelmann , who died in January 2014 . She became the mother of a daughter.

She found her final resting place next to her husband in the cemetery in Aufkirchen am Starnberger See.
