Saint-Pierre-d'Allevard is a former French commune with last 2,887 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Haut-Grésivaudan . The inhabitants call themselves Saint-Pierrains .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the communes of Saint-Pierre-d'Allevard and Morêtel-de-Mailles were merged into a commune nouvelle called Crêts en Belledonne .

Saint-Pierre-d'Allevard is in the Grésivaudan countryside . Saint-Pierre-d'Allevard is surrounded by the neighboring villages of Allevard in the north, Pinsot in the east, La Ferrière in the south-east, Theys in the south, Goncelin in the south-west, Morêtel-de-Mailles and Le Cheylas in the west and Pontcharra in the north-west.

In the north-west of the village is the Lac du Flumet . The lake is mainly used to generate electricity.
