St. Anna am Lavantegg is a former municipality with 388 inhabitants (as of October 31, 2013) in the judicial district of Judenburg , Murtal district , in the Austrian state of Styria . Since 2015 it has been merged with the communities of Amering , Obdach and Sankt Wolfgang-Kienberg as part of the Styrian community structural reform . The new community continues the name “Obdach”.

The community consisted of the only cadastral community Lavantegg.

history

The political community Lavantegg was established in 1849/50. The municipality name was changed in 1990 from Lavantegg to St. Anna am Lavantegg .

Economy and Infrastructure

According to the 2001 census of workplaces , there were 11 workplaces with 20 employees in the municipality as well as 146 out-commuters and 6 in-commuters. There were 54 agricultural and forestry holdings (22 of which were the main occupation), which together farmed 2,584 hectares (as of 1999).

politics

The municipal council , which was dissolved on December 31, 2014, consisted of nine members after the municipal council election in 2010 and consisted of the following: 6 SPÖ and 3 ÖVP .

The last mayor was Josef Moitzi ( SPÖ )

Description of coat of arms:

"A shield with red flanks and a green field, with a silver needled pine nut inside, split by two outward-facing, old-style, silver Turkish sabers that touch the upper corners."

The municipal coat of arms was awarded with effect from July 1, 1985 (LGBl. 1985, 13th issue, no. 51).
