Sankt Nikolaj Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Nørvang Herred in what was then Vejle Office , then to Vejle Municipality in the expanded Vejle Office , which was merged into the "new" Vejle municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

Of the 57,655 inhabitants of Vejle, 12,621 live in the parish of Sankt Nikolaj (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish are the churches "Sankt Nikolaj Kirke", "Løget Kirke" and "Søndermarkskirken".

Neighboring communities are Sankt Johannes Sogn and Vor Frelsers Sogn in the north, Mølholm Sogn and Vinding Sogn in the east, Skærup Sogn in the south, Højen Sogn in the south-west and Skibet Sogn in the west .
