Øster Starup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Brusk Herred in what was then Vejle Office , then to Egtved Municipality in the expanded Vejle Office , which was merged into the "new" Vejle municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

The parish has 2,073 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Øster Starup Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are Egtved Sogn in the west, Ødsted Sogn , Jerlev Sogn and Højen Sogn in the north and Smidstrup Sogn in the northeast , as well as in the neighboring Kolding municipality in the south-east Viuf Sogn , in the south Almind Sogn and in the south-west Vester Nebel Sogn .
