Santa Fe is the 3rd district ( localidad ) of the Colombian capital Bogotá . About 108,000 people live here on an area of ​​4,488 hectares. Santa Fe completely surrounds the La Candelaria district , which earlier belonged to it and was later established as an independent district. Santa Fe has a diverse cultural and economic life.

The heart of Bogotá

Santa Fe was originally the most central area of ​​the capital. It is home to traditional petty bourgeois barrios such as La Perseverancia , Belén and Lajas , as well as more exclusive districts and residential areas.
