Santino Solari
Santino Solari (* 1576 in Verna d'Intelvi (I) near the Swiss border; † April 10, 1646 in Salzburg , Prince Archdiocese of Salzburg ) was a builder, architect and sculptor from a widespread Comasken family.
He was appointed court architect to Salzburg by Salzburg's Archbishop Markus Sittikus von Hohenems von Seckau ( Styria ) in 1612 and, through his work, brought the northern Italian early baroque to today's Austrian region. His grave is located in crypt no.31 in the Salzburg Petersfriedhof .
